BUILDING & AREA NETWORK MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS

These systems are developed on AppelNet, an innovative platform representing a breakthrough in the area of multi-peripheral integration, that provides sophisticated interface mapping for data exchange between complex subsystems of various types, vendors and communication protocols.

Based on crashproof distributed intelligent nodes, interconnected via fault tollerant 16 Mb/s fiber optical links, AppelNet can handle from several hundred up to 200,000 peripheral points.

Possible Building Automation features include the integration of security and protection (alarms, anti-theft, intrusion, CCTV, fire, gas, extinguishing, evacuation), access (control, transit, attendance), energy system management (heating, air-conditioning, ventilation, lighting, electricity) and other technological subsystems (lifts, water supply, power back-up).

All the system nodes are structured on a peer-to-peer equal level and integrated with a service approach, supervised in real-time through UNIX workstations with a friendly man-machine graphical interface. In addition to Intelligent Building Automation, AppelNet offers an open architecture which allows integration of information (EDP area networks) and telecommunication subsystems (data, text & voice) with provision for Internet Transport Control Protocols.
