A platforme jointly developed and tested with Exchange Manufacturers for seamless Nation-Wide Integration in the Public Switched Telephone Network

 

The network solution that AppelCom Ltd. proposes for the Data, Fax and Voice communication monitoring has been jointly developed and tested with Exchange Manufacturers for seamless nation-wide integration in the Public Switched Telephone Network. 2 Mbits links are foreseen for real-time information exchange between the telephone switches deployed in the territory and the Communication Monitoring Equipment, which has been centralized for superior Communication Command & Control.

 

 

The same solution can also be implemented to handle communication monitoring from other switches that include: Ericsson AXE and Alcatel 1240 (On which we have implemented Intelligent Network Peripherals with SS7 signaling) Siemens EWSD (On which we have implemented Equipment with R2 MFC Signaling in Eastern Europe) and NEC Neax 64 (On which we have implemented Intelligent Peripherals with R2 MFC signaling in South America)

AppelMaster’s system architecture is capable of handling up to 7,680 channels, on 256 PCM streams, and is open to mobile network integration requirements, such as GSM or DECT. It offers CASI (Computer Aided Suspect Investigation), Anti-intrusion robotized storage and independent Wide & Local Area Networks for real-time Monitoring and Playback operators. Some exclusive functionality’s that the proposed solution offers include :

  •  Computer Aided Suspect Management handled by Intelligent Line Monitoring Servers capable of pre-processing all the incoming and outgoing calls for immediate Operator notification of Crime Suspects. Each LMS contain over 4,000,000 Crime filtering parameters, automatically identifies Suspects & Crimes, alerts the concerned Monitoring operator for real-time listening and provides all the necessary call information. 

 

  • Total Security Control, mandatory in sensitive Monitoring Center activities, and guaranteed by the fact that nobody is granted access to any communication without prior authorization of the Monitoring Director Control Station . The MDCS Supervisor will always be able to identify Name, Surname and station Password of any Operator (s) that have listened, or accessed, any call in any given moment. 

 

  • Real-Time Action on Suspect Calls, simplified by the built-in LMS call pre-processing. Up to 250 Monitoring Center Operator Positions connected on a WAN can be immediately notified when Suspects appear on line, they can listen to the ongoing conversations in Real-Time and also add their own comments for later investigation post-processing to be carried out by dedicated Playback Operators. 

 

  • Detailed Investigation Analysis, that is always necessary in complex cases. AppelMaster can manage up to 1,000 Playback Center Operator Positions connected on LAN for investigations. Powerful Data Mining features, built-into the Central Backup Unit, allow to obtain complete listings of all recordings on any Suspect, any Crime or any telephone number at any given time for immediate analysis, transcription and/or decoding. 

 

  • Fail-proof Storage which is fully automated with 5 levels of archive redundancy, a mandatory requirement to avoid possible loss or tampering of recorded evidence by manual interventions. All the communications, with associated Call Data and Operator comments, are archived in the Central Back-up Unit capable of up to 7,200,000 channel hours. Only authorized Operators can access information stored in the Centralized Back-Up, which has a capacity to assist investigations lasting even many years.
