Supervision_Network

AppelNet is the System for the Supervision and Integration of safety & security equipment and technological devices, it communicates and interacts through different types of connection with the field subsystems.

The devices and the subsystems that constitute typical field installations and that may be managed by AppelNet are usually grouped in the following families :

	Safety and Security subsystems (anti-intrusion, CCVT, fire-detection, fire-extinction, gas-detection, evacuation, access control, border control, …)
	Climatisation subsystems (heating, conditioning, ventilation, …)
	Electric subsystems (illumination plants, emergency lighting, electrical control panels, …)
	Technological subsystems (water plants, hydraulic plants, automatic signaling installations, PLC for special applications, escalators, elevators, …)

AppelNet is based on Windows-NT operating system and incorporates a real-time DataBase image of all the field elements that it monitors and handles. AppelNet is built with 5 basic components :

	Graphical User Interface
	The Kernel with DataBase
	The Application Modules
	The Network Drivers
	The Subsystem drivers

and allows :

	The graphic visualization of the field elements status
	The memorization and storage of all the alarm events
	The on-line printing of the alarms, according to specific customer requirements and/or the law in force
	The interpretation of operator’s inputs for manual management of the subsystems
	The carrying out of automatic integration functions through programmable event/command association rules
	The management of the communication to and from subsystems
	The network communication (Ethernet, FDDI, PSTN, ISDN, ATM, Wireless Loop, …) with AppelNet’s peripheral components.

Plant Supervision, Centralized Management, remote Management and Monitoring are possible with AppelNet applications. AppelNet satisfies the request for integrated solutions from a functional point of view, based on innovative technologies, according to the consolidated tradition if AppelCom Ltd.
