Other possible applications include unattended fax services, speech recognition and text-to-speech as well as order entry, tele-monitoring and Tele-metering, which are effectively handled through powerful host interfaces for external data base interactivity.

Exclusive developments, based on infrared bi-directional active badges, include trunk interception devices that allow fully automatic re-routing of incoming PABX calls to the nearest telephone extension.
